HArmonyCa is an injectable aesthetic treatment that combines hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxylapatite. This makes it different from a conventional HA filler and different from a CaHA-only injectable such as Radiesse.
The HA component provides an immediate physical support effect. The CaHA component provides a biostimulatory effect associated with collagen production over time. That is why HArmonyCa is often described as a hybrid injectable.
HArmonyCa works through two complementary mechanisms: immediate HA support and CaHA biostimulation. The aim is not simply to add volume. The aim is to improve the relationship between support, collagen stimulation, skin quality and facial proportion.
HArmonyCa has characteristics of both. Because it contains HA, it has a filler-like immediate support component. Because it contains CaHA, it has a biostimulatory component.
This does not mean HArmonyCa should replace every dermal filler or every biostimulator. A patient who needs a very precise, fully reversible HA-only correction may be better suited to a conventional HA filler. A patient who needs broader gradual collagen stimulation may be better suited to Sculptra. A patient who needs CaHA-based structure may be better suited to Radiesse.
Depending on anatomy and suitability, HArmonyCa may be considered for age-related facial support changes, reduced skin firmness, early-to-moderate facial ageing, softening of facial contours, reduced definition, collagen-related tissue changes, mild volume and support loss, lower-face ageing changes and a tired or less supported appearance.
HArmonyCa may be considered for adults who want immediate visible support, collagen stimulation, improvement in facial firmness, subtle facial rejuvenation, support without a heavily filled look, early-to-moderate ageing management and a hybrid injectable approach.
Another treatment may be more appropriate if the main issue is muscle-related expression lines, superficial skin dehydration alone, under-eye crepiness, pigmentation, prominent eye bags, significant loose skin requiring surgical assessment, desire for a fully reversible HA-only treatment, very precise filler-style contouring, active infection or unrealistic expectations.
Facial support is not the same as facial filling. A face can look older because the tissues have lost firmness, structure and collagen support. In these cases, simply adding volume may not create the most refined result.
Because HArmonyCa contains CaHA, it is often discussed in relation to collagen stimulation and firmness. However, it should not be confused with superficial hydration treatments such as Profhilo or certain skin boosters.
A natural result depends on diagnosis, not just product choice. HArmonyCa can look natural when it is used in the right patient, in the right area, at the right depth and in the right quantity.

If an unwanted result or complication occurs, management depends on the component involved, where product was placed, timing, inflammation, infection, previous filler or biostimulator and whether the issue is aesthetic or medical.
